Throughout his career, Sergio Zyman has proven to be a marketing genius, who has rolled out a number of successful products, mostly in the food and beverage industry. But despite his many different successes, the name of Sergio Zyman will perhaps most always be closely identified with being the marketing force behind the epic failure and cautionary tale that was New Coke in the 1980s.
Just because Sergio Zyman may have failed with the launch of New Coke does not mean that his overall career is a failure. In fact, quite the opposite is true. Who could think that the man who thought up and successfully launched the cultural juggernaut that is Diet Coke could be a failure?
Born in Mexico City in Mexico, Sergio Zyman appearances came as a marketing consultant for a number of top companies, including PepsiCo, Procter and Gamble and, of course, Coca Cola.
