Speaker Nate Adams is a freestyle motorcross athlete who has helped bring awareness to this lesser known extreme sport. With a father and brother who both rode motorcross, Nate got an early start. He began riding dirt bikes as a child of eight growing up in Glendale, Arizona. He was competing at sixteen and won the World Freestyle Motorcross Championship in 2002, when he was only eighteen years old. He has sometimes been called by nicknames “The Destroyer “and “Nate Dog”.
Nate Adams was the first riders to ever successfully execute a back flip with a no-hands landing in competition, in the 2004 Vans Triple Crown event in Minnesota. He is well known on the motorcross circuit as an innovator when it comes to tricks and often incorporates a trusty back flip 360 in his routine. Nate has won gold medals in the Dew Tour, X Games, Navy Moto X World Championships and Red Bull X-Fighters. In 2007, he was awarded AST Dew Pro Action Sports Tour Athlete of the Year. He has endorsed various brands over his and often represents Target at exhibitions, community events and special store programs.
Nate Adams has appeared at various sporting events across the country and also appeared as the title character in his own cell phone video game, entitled Nate Adams: Freestyle Motocross. In 2010, he released a full-length rap album titled AKA Patchy: Life and Other Things. He enjoys drawing and music in his free time and avidly pursues all forms of motocross. He currently resides in Temecula, California.
