Jack Del Rio has had a long and storied relationship with the sport of football first as a player in college football and NFL football and then working his way up through the coaching ranks before taking over as the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars of the NFL in 2003.
Born in Castro Valley, California, Jack Del Rio appearances during his high school years led to him gaining a strong reputation as a very good baseball player and a great football player. Immediately following college, Jack Del Rio appearances for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball became a possibility when he was drafted by the team. In the end, they did not become a reality when he decided to enroll at the University of Southern California.
