Detailed Biography of Dan Quayle
As our nation’s 44th Vice President, Dan Quayle accomplished a great deal and has built on that success ever since his term ended. Today, that tradition continues with his son Ben Quayle serving in the U.S. House of Representatives.
After serving in the U.S. House of Representatives for four years representing Indiana, Dan Quayle appearances in the Senate began with his election to one of the Indiana Senate seats for a term from 1981 to 1989, at which point, he ascended to the role of the vice presidency. Vice President Dan Quayle served under President George H.W. Bush during his one term.
As an author, Dan Quayle appearances in print have included the publication of three books, which are titled “Standing Firm: A Vice Presidential Memoir,” “The American Family: Discovering the Values That Make Us Strong” and “Worth Fighting For.” Other Dan Quayle appearances in print have included many different newspaper columns over the years. One Dan Quayle endorsement came with the establishment of the Dan Quayle Center and Museum, which is in Huntington, Indiana, and includes not just Dan Quayle memorabilia and personal effects but other information to pertaining to many other vice presidents.
Even though he has not held political office for nearly two decades, Dan Quayle appearances in politics and in the private sector are no less common. He has been on the board of directors or involved with a variety of companies over the years, including Cerberus Capital Management, the Hudson Institute, Heckmann Corporation, Central Newspapers Inc., K2 Sports and Quayle and Associate. He is a signatory on the Project for the New American Century and former chairman of the national political action committee Campaign America.
Dan Quayle held forth in the White House and has traveled all over the globe representing our country, but you can still have a Dan Quayle motivational speaking engagement or a Dan Quayle keynote address of your own.
