Born in Hobbs, New Mexico, early Colt McCoy appearances on the football field included being coached by his father at his small high school in Tuscola, Texas, but also being selected to the All State team and being named the Associated Press 2A Offensive Most Valuable Player. At the University of Texas at Austin, Colt McCoy appearances truly came into his own as quarterback. He redshirted his freshman year, the same year that Vince Young helped lead the Longhorns to the 2005 National Championship. As a starter for the University of Texas Longhorns beginning his sophomore year, Colt McCoy appearances on the football field as quarterback proved he had something special, and soon he was winning a great deal of attention and awards, including the Walter Camp Award, the Davey O’Brien Award, the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award and the Maxwell Award. Colt McCoy checked in as a the runner up to the 2008 Heisman Memorial Trophy.
After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, Colt McCoy appearances traded in burnt orange for brown as he was drafted by the National Football League’s Cleveland Browns, for which he now serves as their starting quarterback.
