No one takes life any faster than Allison Baver. As a bronze medal winning short track speed skater, Allison Baver has made fans of the winter Olympic games stand up and take notice as she sped by on the track during both the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, and then again during the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada.
Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, Allison Baver attended college at Pennsylvania State University, from which she graduated in 2003. As a distinguished alumnus of the university, a memorable Allison Baver appearance occurred when she was named the 2010 Grand Marshal of the homecoming parade at Pennsylvania State University.
Prior to the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Allison Baver appearances on the short track were already drawing attention as she became the third overall short track speed skater in the world. In the Olympic games, she finished seventh in the 500 meter competition. By the next year, Allison Baver appearances resulted in her winning the 2007 United State National Championship. By the 2010 Winter Olympics, she had improved so much that she competed in three total events – the 1,500 meter, the 1,000 meter and the 3,000 meter relay.
