A keynote speaker is someone who introduces a particular theme and tone at the onset of a conference. Often times, they are recruited to speak on behalf of a particular business or industry, and are required to conduct plenty of research on it in order to deliver an accurate and worthwhile speech. A keynote speaker may liven things up with visuals, audience participation, and affability, and the end result is greater audience awareness of the topic discussed and maybe even how it directly affects them.
